Summer Shoe Guide

Sandals and sneakers and wedges..oh my!

If you are anything like moi, shoes are a big weakness for you and you simply can't get enough!

Whether it be the perfect white sneaker you anxiously await the first spring day to slip on, or your highest slenderest high heel that you put on for a night on the town, shoes help transform your look and your MOOD in a powerful way!

Now I know not everyone loves a heel and some people gravitate more towards comfort, but there are SO many ways to still make your shoe a statement piece in your wardrobe and give you an instantaneous confidence boost which everyone could use!

Simple Strappy Sandal- 

YES these little '90s chic gems are back.  To be honest, at first I wasn't sold on them because they look uncomfortable and I was afraid of my feet busting through the thin straps but after wearing a few pairs I am in love!  Mostly because they look very dressy but usually have a LOW heel so they are actually comfortable.  I have a few neutral colored pairs to wear to work or match with anything and then I have some bright colored pairs that help to give any boring outfit a POP of color.

Mules- 

As I may have already disclosed, I hate regular flats, SO I look for any opportunity to find a "fun" one.  Mules have been my favorite as of late.  Specifically, throw a pattern and a pointy toe into the mix and you can look dressy and put together while still avoiding a heel!

                                                 

Transparency-

These can be a tricky number to pull off.  SO, if the heel is too much for you, opt in for the clear strap sandal (that's what I did!)  It isn't as much of a bold statement although I think I may have to get the heel now as well...
                                                

Platforms-
Platforms are not only on trend but the perfect way to get some inches without having the hassle of a stiletto.  The Steve Madden platform below is also the perfect shoe because it is an espadrille as well!  Not much screams perfect summer shoe more than that :) 

                                                   

White Sneakers-

The gem that never goes out of style...  Nothing is better than when it is finally time to break out the all white sneaks!  I know not everyone looks good in the chunky athletic looking ones, so don't be afraid to go with a more classic shape.  The ultimate day party shoe that allows you to hop from rooftop to your outdoor concert all in one night without having to worry about changing!
