With the New York Fashion Week buzz all around town and the crisp coolness in the air..just like that FALL IS HERE (well until tomorrow when it goes back up to 80 degrees...) One thing I think everyone can appreciate about the fall is the fashion. Fall clothes >>>> Summer clothes.. no doubt about it! Every year there is a few fall statements trends that take over the windows all down 5th ave. This year I did notice there are particularly more than usual and I can't wait to get my hands on some of them!! Since there are so many I'm going to share just a few of my favorites with you but make sure to get out there and see them all for yourself!
Statement Jacket- I'm a biiiig jacket fan. Leather, trench, fur, bomber...you name it I own it. BUT the statement jacket is what all eyes are on now. So to take it from an everyday drab jacket to a statement jacket there needs to be a boldness in either the color or material or more preferably BOTH! Below are some of my faves out right now. These are more on the minimalistic side but good as they are a little more practical for everyday use!

American inspired ready wear- Denim, leather, plaid, and red, white, and blue everywhere! Traditional American colors and patterns are being used in almost all casual/athleisure brands on the market. With New York being the fashion capital of the world it is not uncommon to have a strong American theme in collections but it is very apparent this fall. Some of my favorite looks below are from the Tommy Hilfiger collection. You can also knock this trend of very cheaply as a lot of the fast fashion stores have this trend all over their stores! (Forever 21 & Zara most notably)
Animal Print- Animal print really is never not in style... but how you wear it definitely changes throughout the years! No longer is the animal print just subtle or paired with neutrals but it is about making a big statement and pairing with other bold patterns! This new way of wearing animal print makes the print act as the neutral and allows you to pair with patterns you never thought you could before. Below is a perfect example of how to make a bold fashion statement with animal print this fall!
Box Bag- Loving this trend! A small structured bag is a great way to add some spice to an otherwise boring outfit! Also, a bright box bad is the perfect way to add a pop of color to an outfit and is the perfect size for a night on the town! Give me one in every color pleeeease! 😍
Racing stripe denim- I'm loving the variation of jeans that are out right now. Flare, crop, skinny, boyfriend.. you just can't go wrong!! One subtle detail I love for fall denim is the racing stripe. A simple way to look sportier and trendier instantly. Also a great staple piece because you can dress the denim up or down depending whether you pair with a heel and some jewelry or throw on some sneaks! Plaid- Dress it up, down, or wear to work...you can't go wrong with plaid this fall! The number of pieces and ways to wear plaid are endless but incorporating just one piece can instantly "chic" up an outfit!
