Festival Season

Festival Season is in full swing (in case you haven't noticed the pictures all over your instagram feed....) Fashionistas are gearing up across the globe to deck themselves out to dance the night away...

Music festivals are an opportunity to wear some of the riskier clothes you never could otherwise wear and truly is the most ideal landscape to express yourself freely.  There are so many different trends just within festival gear itself you really can't go wrong, as long as your make it YOU!  Many of these looks may not be for everyone..as festival looks tend to be specific to your individual style but that is what makes everyone look so different and fun! Whether you want to go the risque route and bare it all or prefer to go the more traditional clothing route.. I've got you covered!

What screams festival season more than JORTS?!  This oldie but goodie is a staple for festival season but if you're in the mood to spice it up a little there are plenty of ways to do so!  I love the long  duster look with anything but doing it with the jorts and even high boots make it a chicer, sexier look..guaranteed to make some heads turn!

One of my favorite looks because it is simple, cute, and flattering.  The over-the-knee boots give it an instantly trendy look and the no pattern dress give it a simple and not trying to hard appeal.  For many people since festivals are the one time to truly express yourself, they like to go all out but there is something to be said for the sometimes less is more approach.  Especially if you are attending for multiple days, going all out for all days can be exhausting and might takeaway from the overall vibe you are going for.  So when in doubt keep. it. simple.

As I mentioned, festivals are some of the only times you get to wear really crazy clothes and get away with it so it's fun to go all out and risk it all sometimes!  It is not as shocking to see looks like this at a festival and there is a way to still be on the classy side of risque.  The below look is definitely sexy and shows a lot of skin but at the same time is not revealing it all.  The neutral tones with minimal details also make it slightly toned down despite the sheerness of the top and amount of skin revealed.  If you are going to show a lot of skin this is one of the best ways to do so... and don't forget your combat boots!

Neon traditionally has always been a musical festival favorite but with that trend bleeding over into one of spring's top looks there is a way to make it even trendier than usual.  Any major fast fashion store this spring has a neon section where you can easily find a piece or two that will make you stand out amongst the crowd.  Throw on a neon piece and and cool hair/makeup to make it a little even more fun!

This look is quite opposite from the risk taker look but could be for the same person that wants to switch up their look from day to day which is part of the festival fun!  I love the white lacy babydoll looks during summer and they are definitely festival appropriate.  Since they are very "cutesy" my suggestion is to spice it up with accessories.  A fun hairstyle, bag, or sunglasses really pull the overall look together and make it go from just a summer day look to a full on festival look.
