OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW
You know Summer has arrived when you've ramped up your gym routine to 5 days a week and have applied enough sunless tanner that people are mistaking you for Donald Trump..
Nothing says refresh like the Summer and I am all about it! I love living in NY and having all four seasons but there comes a time when I am ready to put away the sweaters & boots and breakout the sundresses & sandals.
In addition to the usual fashion trends, I've also included some lifestyle trends which are a must try. After all, you should use the start of the season to refresh many areas of your life!
Soo what am I all about this season?!
White Out Neon
Nothing is more chic than white on white. White on white can be hard to pull off, but the tip is to play with layers and fits. Although I am all for people trying to play around with a monochromatic look there is definitely one rule when it comes to this trend: use white on white for a fancier look, not a casual look. Wearing white jorts and a white tee will make you look like you are going to a highlighter party which was of course cool in college, but not now.
Neon- Unlike the all white look, the neon trend is easier to wear as there are many different ways to wear it. Neon can look good when dressing up like the picture above or dressing down in athleisure/street wear. I highly suggest the neon trend if you are looking to make a bold statement with minimal effort!
Hair Barrettes Transparent bags
Staying up with the trends can be difficult and expensive so some of the best ways to keep your outfits on trend while trying to save money is to stick with basic clothes and update your accessories. Hair barrettes and transparent bags are some of my favorite trendy accessories that are everywhere right now and you can pick up at almost any fast fashion store for under $40. So pick up some accessories at Zara or H&M and save some of that cash in your pocket for your rooftop parties this summer!
Biker Shorts Flowy Dresses
Biker Shorts...yes I said it. At first I wasn't sure if I would be down for this trend but after wearing them once...I am in love. They are the comfiest shorts that I have ever worn and I can TRULY wear them with anything and it looks trendy. You can wear with an oversized T-shirt and sneaks for a casual day look, or a crop and kitten heel at night for a sexy Karshasian vibe. You may not look as good as a Kardashian does but wear it right and you'll come pretty darn close ;)
Flowy floral dresses are another piece for a perfect summer look. Sundresses are the best for summer since are easy as all you have to worry about besides the dress are the accessories. Although I do not consider my style to be girly or romantic, once and awhile for the appropriate occasion I love to switch it up and wear a long flowy dress.
Others notable trends:
CBD products
Oil diffusers
Tie-Dye
Asymmetrical tops
Mindfulness/Meditation
Fanny Packs
Pant suit
Natural Makeup Products
